Mt Buller Resort is located 248kms north of Melbourne, an easy three hour drive straight up the Hume Highway. Turn right at Tallarook exit (there are other exits, but this is our preferred route). Take the Upper Goulburn Road, then turn right again at the B340 towards Yea. A great spot to stop for supplies, coffee, fuel, supermarket, bakery, coffee. Did we mention coffee? Great donuts here, too.

From Yea, head on through Molesworth and Yarckto Merton, Bonnie Doon (serenity here is primo) and into Mansfiled. Another excellent stop for supplies, fuel, and more coffeeeeeeee!

Then onward to Merrijig, through Mirimbah Picnic Ground (recce the transition area - this is where the bikes finish up), and up the mountain to Buller Village. Anyone get car sick? Sit up front.
